Last week, I had the pleasure of meeting Daniel Lubetzky, the founder and CEO of Kind nutrition bars and snacks, along with his lovely wife and adorable children. I didn’t know much about him prior to meeting him. But I read up on him and was blown away by his philosophy and philanthropy. He is the son of a Holocaust survivor. What struck me most from the article linked to this blog is this quote regarding the senior Lubetzky:
“His life taught me that that kindness and empathy are the foundations on which humanity will stand or fall”. Powerful words, especially given that they came from one who faced so much tragedy and ugliness early in his life.
My hope is that Mr. Lubetzky’s words and deeds inspire me and some of you.
