Arthur Ernest Fitzgerald - The Original Whistleblower

Mr. Ernie Fitzgerald passed away recently.  He was the whistleblower who inspired Senator Grassley's lifelong support for the False Claims Act.  He made Senator Grassley aware of the unchecked spending plaguing the Department of Defense.   Mr. Fitzgerald described the situation as a "boondoggle of overpriced spare parts flying in close formation."  Senator Grassley described him as a "sleuth for truth", a "patriot, a whistleblower and a watch dog."  He was the forefather for current whistleblowers, who lost his job for telling the truth.  If you want to be inspired, please watch Senator Grassely's words here.
