Home Health Agency Settles Kickback and LUPA Claims for $5.8 Million
November 2020
Proudly served as local counsel on behalf of our brave whistleblowers. Our portion of the claim resolved allegations that employees pressured clinical personnel to increase the number of home visits for Medicare patients to avoid the Medicare Low Utilization Payment Adjustment that would have decreased the reimbursement Doctor's Choice received from Medicare in the absence of these unnecessary services. It was my pleasure to serve alongside Veronica Nannis, Jay Holland and Sarah Chu to represent our very brave whistleblowers.
