Remembering The Holocaust

Today is Yom HaShoah – the Day of Rememberence of the Holocaust.  76 years ago today, the surviving prisoners of the Auschwitz death camp were liberated.  Extreme levels of hate

led to such atrocities and human genocide, the goal of which was to wipe the Jewish people off the face of the earth.  We must never forget that the hate started in small germs of antisemitism that grew, with the stoking of political leaders, into the level of hate that allowed human beings to march other human beings to their deaths.  We must always remain vigilent of such hateful germs so that history never repeats itself.  At the end of the day, if we are kind to one another, and accepting of other’s beliefs, the world will become a much safer place, allowing all to prosper and live a full life.  Please read this blog from the Anti-Defamation League, addressing the rise in anti-semitism both home and abroad.  I wish all a peaceful and joyful life.
