We have previously written about the potential casualties resulting from large corporations buying or funding primary care practices and then running the medical practices as a business rather than a service provider. This New York Times article provides perspective on both sides of the issue. It seems that when profits are the primary goal, patient care will suffer, and, in order to meet minimums, providers may run afoul of the False Claims Act.
