With the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, this week's blog basically writes itself. She was a giant - all 85 pounds of her. She never stopped fighting for justice and equality. Even those philsophically diametrically opposed to her way of thinking -- the late Justice Scalia comes to mind- respected her, engaged and debtated with her, and, from all accounts, adored her. Her loss saddens me as a woman, as a lawyer, as a mother of daughters and as one who seeks justice every day. I reviewed many accounts of her life over this weekend. The one that struck me the most for its presentation of both her role as a friend, and her role as a Supreme Court Justice, is journalist Nina Tottenberg. What a beautiful and powerful woman, beautiful and powerful brain, and beautiful and powerful soul.
