This morning, Sen. Grassley questioned The Honorable Brown Jackson during the United States Supreme Court hearings. He devoted 5 minutes to the False Claims Act (“FCA”). He noted that the FCA has recovered $70 Billion for the US Treasury. Grassley acknowledged that he vast majority of these claims are brought by brave whistleblowers. The Senator further noted that to the extent the courts misinterpret the law, he and Senator Leahy have been very active in modifying the legislation so that courts can apply the law as Congress intended. This conversation at such a public hearing speaks to the tremendous Public:Private relationship that exists in our cases, and the Congressional support that exists for the False Claims Act. We are proud to be a part of this ongoing fight to recover from fraudsters who seek to defraud the United States from money in the healthcare, pharmaceutical and Department of Defense arenas, just to name a few.
